Fluoride will be added to Whangarei's water supply from today, with the possibility of stopping later - with the High Court still not reaching a decision on allowing a pause

Whangarei District Council wanted more time to discuss the issue but - but had made preparations to ensure it could start the treatment process if its court action failed.

If the court decides down the track to grant the pause, the Council can turn off fluoridation.
