Police are investigating a stranger trying to force an eight-year-old boy into his car outside Auckland's Rowandale School yesterday afternoon, in Manurewa

The child's family say a man in camouflage clothes approached him as he walked home.

Rowandale's principal says parents intervened - and the man drove away in a distinctive white sedan, with offensive words scrawled on its sides.
