    Maori Development Minister Tama Potaka's welcoming a closer look into the Waitangi Tribunal's work/


    Independent reviewers will interview iwi and experts, before forming advice on re-scoping the tribunal.

    Legislation's expected to be introduced before the end of the year -- as coalition party Act calls the tribunal "activist" and New Zealand First suggests it's too focused on ideology.

    Tama Potaka says coalition partners have very strong views.

    He says the tribunal's become very busy, which can impact other things like the Maori land court.
