Hilaria Baldwin says small gestures are what she loves most about Mother's Day

The fitness influencer, 41, and actor Alec, 66, have been married since 2012 and share three daughters - Carmen Gabriela, 11, María Lucía Victoria, four, and Ilaria Catalina Irena, two - as well as four sons: Rafael Thomas, nine, Leonardo Ángel Charles, eight, Romeo Alejandro David, six, and Eduardo 'Edu' Pao Lucas, four, while Alec also has daughter Ireland Baldwin, 29, from his previous marriage to actress Kim Basinger

Hilaria said in an Instagram post about Mother's Day in the US: "I think one of my favourite parts of Mother's Day is watching them try to be secretive while they make cards for me.

"They are so excited and their energy of trying to surprise me melts my heart."

Hilaria's post was a short Instagram Reel and included footage of cards, flowers and gifts from the children as the family marked Mother's Day together.

In a 2023 interview with Romper, Hilaria hinted Ilaria would likely be her and Alec's last child.

"I'm always afraid to say it. I was putting away my maternity clothes recently and was like, 'I'm afraid to give them away because then I'll find out I'm pregnant,'" she said.

"Every single time I have a baby, my OB writes down the vasectomy doctor on a Post-It, and I bring it home to Alec. He hasn't done it yet."

Speaking about their large family, Alec said he had no regrets.

He added: "I wouldn't change anything. I always joke with (Hilaria) and say, 'You know where I should be right now, don't you? We should be on (music mogul David) Geffen's yacht, drinking a cappuccino and reading a book, and having dinner with (director Steven) Spielberg or whatever.'"

Hilaria responded: "Instead we're changing diapers!"

Alec also reflected on how parenting has shifted for him over the years.

He said: "Everything has changed. I think when you're her age and you have kids, and you get older, you get tougher," he said. "For me, as I'm getting older and older, and I don't want to be tougher. I don't want to be anything. I just want to be a father to my kids.

"I want to just watch and see what the years I have left us to experience and not have it be about me."
