New Zealand farmers are benefiting from a dairy renaissance

New Zealand farmers are benefiting from a dairy renaissance

    Fonterra
    Fonterra
Stats NZ reveals the export sector had a 1.4 billion-dollar surplus in April, compared with a 12-million-dollar deficit teh same time last year.

Customers aren't reaping the same benefits - with skyrocketing prices on products like butter.

Fonterra Global Ingredients President, Richard Allen, says there's a global desire for protein-heavy food.

He says butter is definitely back in favour, with consumers wanting to go with natural and nutritious dairy options.
