    Theft of hot water heaters is on the rise in Auckland's Rodney


    Police Senior Sergeant Roger Small says gas califonts are mostly being stolen from homes under construction.

    He says they're simple to remove and sell easily on places such as Facebook Marketplace.

    Small advises measures including having CCTV, installing security brackets, and putting the califont in as late as possible.
