A women's State of Origin fixture could be headed to Christchurch next year at the soon-to-open One New Zealand Stadium

A women's State of Origin fixture could be headed to Christchurch next year at the soon-to-open One New Zealand Stadium

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Sydney's Daily Telegraph is reporting that the NRL is seeking interest from Tourism New Zealand to help stand up the event.

Women's Origin became a three game series from last year.

No official Origin game - men's or women's has been taken out of Australia before.

Super Rugby boss Jack Mesley revealed yesterday on Newstalk ZB's Weekend Sport, that a Super Round in Christchurch at the new stadium is a strong possibility for Anzac Weekend 2026.
