Belief the reputation of our universities is in a good place

Belief the reputation of our universities is in a good place

The prestigious QS World University Rankings have been released, with Auckland University leading New Zealand, at 65th.

The other seven are ranked between 197 and 410.

Universities NZ chief executive Chris Whelan says rankings don't matter much to local students, who often choose the closest institution.

He says about 82 percent of international students consider rankings, and for 17 percent, it's one of their top factors. 06-19-25 1733
