Diane Keaton was a "big part" of Belinda Carlisle's career

After actress Diane's death was announced on Saturday (11.10.25), the 67-year-old singer took to Instagram to pay a heartfelt tribute to the Hollywood legend, and Belinda mentioned in the post that Diane directed the music videos for Heaven Is a Place on Earth, and I Get Weak

Captioning a photo of The First Wives Club star, Belinda wrote: "I can't [three red broken heart emojis] she was such a talent and a big part of my career.

"She directed two videos of mine - Heaven Is a Place on Earth and the video for I Get Weak."

Belinda feels "blessed" to have known and worked with the late Oscar-winning actress.

The hitmaker concluded her tribute with: "She was kind and eccentric and I was blessed to know her. This is such a big loss... [three red broken heart emojis] RIP Diane you will be missed.... (sic)"

Belinda was one of many showbiz stars who paid tribute to Diane following her death at the age of 79.

Goldie Hawn - who starred in The First Wives Club with Diane - said on Instagram that her "heart is broken".

Captioning a black-and-white photo of the late Hollywood legend, the 79-year-old star penned: "Diane, we aren't ready to lose you.

"You've left us with a trail of fairy dust, filled with particles of light and memories beyond imagination.

"How do we say goodbye? What words can come to mind when your heart is broken? You never liked praise, so humble, but now you can't tell me to 'shut up' honey. There was, and will be, no one like you.

"You stole the hearts of the world and shared your genius with millions, making films that made us laugh and cry in ways only you could.

"I was blessed to make First Wives Club with you, our days starting with coffee in the makeup trailer, laughing and joking, right through to the very last day of filming. It was a roller coaster of love.

"We agreed to grow old together, and one day, maybe live together with all our girlfriends. Well, we never got to live together, but we did grow older together. Who knows ... maybe in the next life. Shine your fairy dust up there, girlfriend. I'm going to miss the hell out of you.

"My heart goes out to your beautiful children, Dex and Duke.

    "I love you."

Diane's death at the age of 79 was announced on Saturday, and no details have been released about the circumstances surrounding her death.

However, sources claimed to People magazine that the Annie Hall actress' health "declined very suddenly" in the months before her passing.

Diane's loved ones have requested privacy as they mourn her loss.

The star - who never married - is survived by her adopted children, daughter Dexter, 29, and 25-year-old son Duke.
