Tongan rugby league international Eliesa Katoa is set to be shifted from an Auckland hospital to one in Melbourne, as he continues his recovery following brain surgery

Tongan rugby league international Eliesa Katoa is set to be shifted from an Auckland hospital to one in Melbourne, as he continues his recovery following brain surgery

The Melbourne Storm second-rower copped three head knocks before and during their Pacific Championships test against New Zealand at Eden Park.

Katoa required oxygen after he suffered seizure activity on the sidelines then was rushed to hospital with brain bleeding.

The 25-year-old's been steadily improving but still has a long way to go, his club boss says ... and wouldn't speculate on whether he'll play in the NRL again.

He could spend time in a rehabilitation centre, following his Melbourne hospital stay.
