Police are working towards determining how three young children died, following a house fire in Manawatu's Sanson on Saturday

Newstalk ZB's Max Towle says a post mortem was carried out yesterday on the father - with the children's expected today.

He says Police are treating it as a homicide, a triple-murder-suicide, potentially carried out by the father - who we understand was a local businessman.

A Givealittle page set up to raise funds for the children's mum has reached more than 300-thousand dollars.
