West Indies batter Shai Hope has reached his century, late on day four of the first cricket test against New Zealand in Christchurch

West Indies batter Shai Hope has reached his century, late on day four of the first cricket test against New Zealand in Christchurch

The tourists' rearguard stand for the fifth wicket is looking set to extend the match to a fifth day, as the Windies chase 531 to win.

A short time ago, they were on 180 for four.

England's first innings didn't last long on day two of the first Ashes test at the Gabba.

The Aussies bowled the English out for 334, shortly after the tourists resumed on 325 for nine.

Kiwi golfers Ryan Fox and Daniel Hillier remain in a clubhouse share of fourth, late in the second round of the Australian Open in Melbourne.

    The lead is nine-under-par, they're on six-under.
