Billie Eilish tries "1,000 things on" and "destroys" her closet every time she tries to pick an outfit for a night out

The 23-year-old pop star admits she never plans her clothes in advance and she often gets into a mess when she's trying to throw an outfit together at the last minute.

When asked about her "process" of choosing an outfit, she told InStyle magazine: "Dude, I don't even know. I feel like every time I'm trying to make an outfit to leave, I don't ever really have an idea for what I want until it's already found me."

She added: "I was carving pumpkins the other day, and someone asked my friend, like: 'How do you come up with what you're going to carve?'

"And she was like: 'I just let the pumpkin speak to me.' That's kind of how I feel about clothing."

Billie went on to explain: "I walk in and I look at I look at what I have, and I just let it speak to me. When I go somewhere, I'm completely destroying my closet every time I leave.

"I'm trying 1,000 things on. I'm looking at these things and then using this accessory, and then using this - it's a lot. Anyone who loves fashion knows the struggle is real."

Billie went on to admit her beauty routine is a lot more regimented and she sticks to the same products every day.

She told the publication: "[I use] pretty much the same thing every single time. I use my little Merit highlighter. I use my freckle thing [Revlon Brow Ink].

"And then I use Milk Makeup blush. It's the same products every single time.

"And then, literally always fragrance, no matter what, like I cannot, will not leave the house/see anyone without smelling good."

The singer - who has her own line of fragrances - added of wearing perfume: "I'm pretty pulse-y. Inner wrists, neck, chest, kind of vibe. Sometimes I'll do a little hair spritz every now and then."

She also confessed she doesn't leave the house without a bottle of scent in her bag, saying: "Always! You have to bring a mini.

"Honestly, if I don't have a mini, I just bring in the full thing. Gotta bring something. For me, I have to."
