Kelsea Ballerini is "protecting [her] peace right now" amid rumours she and her boyfriend Chase Stokes have split

Months after it was reported that the 32-year-old singer and the Outer Banks actor reportedly broke up in September after two years of dating, Kelsea opened up about her healing journey during an ask-me-anything Instagram Stories Q+A session on Monday (01.12.25).

A follower asked the Miss Me More hitmaker: "How are YOU?!? You heal a lot of us, what do YOU need? (sic)."

The six-time Grammy Awards nominee gave a candid response, saying: "Thank you for saying this and asking. I'm in a steady and happy place right now, truly excited for this Australia tour and the holidays."

Kelsea - who was married to singer Morgan Evans, 40, between 2017 and 2022 - also called on her followers to respect her privacy.

The I Sit in Parks singer added: "If I had one favour, it would be honouring that I'm trying to make my personal life personal for now, unless it comes from me, it's not from me, and that is really important in protecting my peace right now."

In November, it was reported that Kelsea and Chase, 33, had rekindled their romance, after they were spotted together at a restaurant in Dubrovnik, Croatia, "holding hands at the table and talking closely".

The pair even fuelled speculation that their relationship is back on after they were spotted together near Edinburgh Castle in Scotland in October.

However, later that month, Chase hinted at a second break-up.

He alluded to the turbulence in his love life in a series of cryptic posts on Instagram in November.

In one post, the actor - who previously dated his 27-year-old Outer Banks co-star Madelyn Cline - penned: "I'm blocked, I did nothing wrong. Sorry. I tried."

In a subsequent post, Chase said: "I'm sorry for those who believed in us. It is what it is. Onwards and upwards."

And a source said the actor is "heartbroken" that he and Kelsea had reportedly broken up again.

They told Us Weekly: "Chase is heartbroken. It's been nonstop ups and downs."

In September, People reported that Kelsea and Chase had split.

A source told the publication: "They're two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn't. It happens."
