An urgent recall's been issued for two Akaroa King Salmon products over a potential listeria contamination

An urgent recall's been issued for two Akaroa King Salmon products over a potential listeria contamination

It affects 100-gram packs of Manuka Cold Smoked Slices and 500-gram packs of Manuka Cold Smoked Trim, both with a December 29 use-by date.

NZ Food Safety says listeria can cause serious illness, particularly for pregnant women and other vulnerable groups - and urge people to throw the products out.

They're sold at South Island outlets including Akaroa King Salmon's Wigram Factory Shop, Beckenham Butchery, and Dunedin's Taste Nature.
