Rosie O'Donnell's loved ones think moving to Ireland is the "best decision" she's ever made

The A League of their Own actress relocated to Dublin earlier this year with youngest child, 12-year-old Clay amid her frustration at Donald Trump being re-elected as US president, and her friends and family can see just how much of a positive impact her decision has had on her wellbeing.

Her brother Eddie told the Washington Post newspaper: "[It is]the best decision she’s made, I think, in her life, honestly.”
And Rosie's 23-year-old daughter Viv can hear a difference when they speak on the phone because her mother seems more invested in her own life than ever.
She said: “Before, I’d be like, ‘How are you?’ And she’d be like, ‘Yeah, I’m okay. Just another day,’ and then talk about the news a lot.
“Now I’ll call her. She’ll talk about Clay. She’ll talk about how beautiful Ireland is. She’ll talk about work.”
Rosie's childhood friend, Jeanne Kopetic, recently visited the 63-year-old comic in Ireland and witnessed how easily her pal could go about her daily life without being bothered.
She said: “She used to go from the car to the house quickly. She was barricaded by security gates here in the States. Now she kind of comfortably just settles herself among the people.”
However, the former View panellist still struggles to step back from her fixation with Trump.
According to the newspaper, Rosie promised her therapist last month that she wouldn't post anything online about the president for two days, but lasted just a few hours.
During her visit, Jeanne said: “Roseann, you’ve got to detach. You’ve got to disconnect.”
So Rosie tried again, and vowed not to post for three days, telling her Instagram followers she was “gonna try again to not give him a minute of me.”
In July, the president branded Rosie a "threat to humanity" and threatened to revoke her US citizenship after she criticised his administration's handling of the catastrophic floods in Texas that left over 120 people dead.
Trump posted on his Truth Social platform: "Because of the fact that Rosie O'Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her."
Rosie described the Commander-in-Chief as a "dangerous old soulless man with dementia" in a social media riposte to his threat, which is constitutionally impossible.
The talk show host wrote on Instagram: "The president of the USA has always hated the fact that I see him for who he is - a criminal con man sexual-abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself.
"This is why I moved to Ireland - he is a dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy, compassion, and basic humanity."
Rosie continued: "I stand in direct opposition (to) all he represents - so do millions of others - u gonna deport all who stand against ur evil tendencies - ur a bad joke who can't form a coherent sentence (sic)."
