Victims of Gloriavale's former leader, Howard Temple, are pleased to see him behind bars

The 85-year-old's been sentenced to 26 months in jail after pleading guilty to indecent offending against six girls and young women over two decades.

He has since decided to appeal the sentence.

Herald Reporter Anna Leask says the victims are appreciative that the Judge, had understood why they came forward.

She says that was to ensure Temple was stopped, and others couldn't get away with that sort of behaviour.
