    Auckland were bowled out for 138 and find themselves trailing by 91 runs after with the hosts reached stumps at 229 for one, with Rhys Mariu unbeaten on 122 and Henry Nicholls not out on 87.

    Meanwhile - 111 from captain Nick Kelly has Wellington at 308 for seven against Northern Districts in Whangarei.

    And in Dunedin - Max Chu is unbeaten on 104, with Otago 287 for six against Central Districts.

    Day two action is scheduled to start at 10.30am.
