The two climbers overdue from Aoraki Mount Cook - appear to be in the same area as where last month's fatal accident happened

Search and rescue and Department of Conservation crews postponed their search for the pair yesterday afternoon, as weather conditions worsened.

Last month, a local guide and his client - died while attempting a Mount Cook traverse, when they fell.

Mountain Safety Council Chief Executive Mike Daisley says it's a harsh reminder that any small mistake can have severe consequences.
