Tributes for the former mayor of Dunedin, from the woman who recently replaced him the job

Jules Radich - a sitting city councillor who served as mayor from 2022 to October last year - died of a heart attack over the weekend.

Sophie Barker defeated Radich in October's hugely competitive mayoral election.

She says she and Radich disagreed on many things, but they had a long journey together and always appreciated each other.

Barker says she stood for change and got change, but Radich was a valued member of council who had got behind her and supported her.
