A car flipped on its roof in the Auckland suburb of Birkenhead this afternoon, in one of several accidents across the city

Police and other emergency services were called to the scene just after 3, and say a vehicle struck a parked car and rolled.

    One person had moderate injuries.

There was another crash just after 4 in Brown's Bay, where a vehicle hit a pole and brought down power lines.

    No-one was injured.

Earlier there was a 2-vehicle crash at the intersection of Great North Road and Kirby Street.

One vehicle was left in the middle of the road; the other spun onto a berm, blocking the footpath.

One person was treated for minor injuries.
