Efforts to uncover how a racing greyhound became exposed to meth - have come up short

Efforts to uncover how a racing greyhound became exposed to meth - have come up short

Herald Open Justice reports the Racing Integrity Board launched a probe after Hilton Hustler tested positive for the Class A substance - just one day after a win at Addington.

Trainer 68-year-old Craig Anderson, who began racing dogs in 2017, denies any involvement.

Despite charging Anderson, the Board opted not to penalised him at a hearing last month - due to a lack of evidence connecting him to the drug.

The level of meth found in the dog's system was low - and Anderson's racing record is otherwise unblemished.
