Teddi Mellencamp is "really sick" - months after she revealed her cancer had become "undetectable"

The 44-year-old TV personality's dad, singer John Mellencamp, shared the "suffering" his daughter is currently experiencing as she continues her battle with stage four melanoma - a serious type of skin cancer.

Appearing on a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, John, 74, said: "I do have a daughter that's really sick. She's not f****** fine. She's got cancer in the brain. And she's suffering right now."

Teddi was diagnosed with stage two melanoma in 2022, and revealed in April 2025 that the cancer was at stage four after the disease metastasised to her lungs and brain, resulting in her having a 50-50 chance of survival.

In October 2025, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum - who has had 17 melanoma spots, as well as four brain tumours, removed, and has successfully had immunotherapy, resulting in the growths to "significantly" shrink - revealed that tests showed her cancer was "undetectable".

Teddi told the iHeartRadio podcast Two T's in a Pod: "Just to give a little life update to you guys, I had my immunotherapy yesterday, and they did my scans, and at this point, there is no detectable cancer.

"I still need to be on immunotherapy for another year, and I'm not considered in remission or anything like that.

"When they told me, I was in such shock, I was numb. So I'm still going to be having days when I'm feeling sick and stuff because I am still in immunotherapy, so I'm still fighting because you have to be.

"The way they (doctors) said it works, it's like one year, then two years, then at three years you're allowed to be considered... in remission. So, that was huge news yesterday.

"All the tumours continued to shrink and everything. It's been good. It's a good day."

Teddi - who has daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, five, as well as son Cruz, 11, from her marriage to estranged 48-year-old husband, TV personality Edwin Arroyave - then shared that it is her eldest child who understands her heartbreaking health ordeal.

The star - who has documented her treatment and recovery with her fans online, and has urged them to get their yearly checks - said: "It's just Slate that really understands.

"People think just because the cancer's gone, that I can't still get sick or whatever, but I'm still in treatment."
