Drew Starkey has been appointed brand ambassador for Dior

The Outer Banks actor met the fashion house's creative director Jonathan Anderson when the designer worked on costumes for his 2022 movie Queer, and the JW Anderson founder was "immediately drawn" to the 32-year-old star.

Jonathan told WWD in his statement: "Drew brings a quiet intensity that feels raw, elegant and deeply human.

"There's a rare honesty in his presence, a beauty in how he allows vulnerability to sit unadorned. I'm thrilled that we will continue to work together in this exciting new capacity."

Jonathan praised Drew - who featured in Loewe's spring 2025 campaign when the designer was still creative director there - for his "risk-taking, charisma and integrity

Meanwhile, the Love, Simon actor is "deeply honoured" to have joined Dior.

Drew said in his own statement: "I am so grateful to be in partnership with the Dior family.

"Jonathan Anderson's vision retains so much tradition, while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of design. His respect for craftsmanship is something I've always admired. I'm deeply honored to work with a brand that has forever represented such elegance and timeless endurance."

Drew's appointment comes a week after LaKeith Stanfield was also named an ambassador for Dior menswear.

Jonathan told WWD in a statement: "LaKeith has an energy that feels both spontaneous and composed. He's an actor's actor, with a remarkable range, bringing something unexpected and magical to every role. I can't wait to work together."

The Judas and the Black Messiah actor - who was the first to wear the fashion house's floral-embroidered blue denim 'revolution' coat, matching waistcoat and light blue boot-cut jeans at the British Fashion Awards in December - hailed the partnership "humbling".

He said in his own statement: "To collaborate with Jonathan Anderson's astute vision, within a house whose history reads like art itself, where detail becomes design and design becomes story, is humbling and inspiring."
