Patsy Kensit has claimed she had a "secret affair" with Terence Stamp

The 57-year-old actress has claimed she was 23 when she had a relationship with the Superman actor - who was 30 years her senior and died last year aged 87 - after first meeting through a mutual friend and then working together on 1991 thriller Prince of Shadows in Madrid, Spain.

She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "We were star-crossed lovers and he was a total gentleman.

"Even though there was an age gap, we had a strong bond. He was an amazing and generous lover."

Patsy - who was married to Dan Donovan from 1988 to 1991 - was cast in the film first before recommending Terence for the role, and she described the romance as a "lost few months in my life".

She recalled: "I first met him at a dinner party in Chelsea through a girlfriend.

"I was sitting next to him on the table plan and had read all of his books, The Stamp Collection Cookbook.

"He was such a great writer, so I was a bit of a superfan... He was probably the most beautiful man I'd ever seen."

Patsy admitted she ended their relationship when she left the UK to shoot Timebomb in 1991, describing herself as "young and stupid".

Patsy first met her second husband - Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr - in Madrid while she was working on Prince of Shadows with Terence.

They ended up getting married, and went onto have son James together, before getting divorced in 1996.

The following year, she married Oasis singer Liam Gallagher but split the following year, and in 2009 she tied the knot with DJ Jeremy Healy, with their marriage ending in 2010.

Terence - who appeared as villain General Zod in Superman and Superman II - went onto marry Elizabeth O'Rourke, with their union lasting from 2002 to 2008.

He died in August 2025, and his family said at a time: "He leaves behind an extraordinary body of work, both as an actor and as a writer that will continue to touch and inspire people for years to come."
