Diego Calva says Kate Moss became his personal PR at the Saint Laurent men's show

The Night Manager star was in Paris last week for the event, and while he felt nervous about being around a lot of people he hadn't met, the 52-year-old supermodel was on hand to help him settle in.

He told WWD: "She introduced me to thousands of people, like, 'oh, Diego, he's in The Night Manager.'

"She literally was my PR, and made everything more relaxing."

The 33-year-old actor has joined the cast of The Night Manager for its second season, with the show recently returning after a decade.

Recalling his audition process, Diego said: "When you are the guy being cast, you are the guy that has to prove himself. You never know. "And honestly, I learned during my career that expecting is too much. Asking is too much.

"I send the tape, I do the callback, I do the chemistry reading, and then I try to forget about it because if not, I'm going to torture myself and I'm going to think for the next three months, like, 'oh, I should have said this line this way, or I should have tried this.'"

During the process, he did ask for a third take so he could "try something else", and that extra take helped him get cast as Teddy.

Meanwhile, Diego has recalled how starring with Margot Robbie and Brad Pitt in director Damien Chazelle's 2022 film Babylon changed his life.

He said: "Babylon' came and knocked on my door and put me in a different stage. Babylon was the most challenging, rich and wild experience.

"[Damien] is such a perfectionist. He's such an interesting and loving guy, and the two things he loves the most are music and cinema. "I literally learned how to act with Olivia Hamilton, Damien's wife, as kind of my coach, and Damien Chazelle. They created the actor inside me, or at least they let him free."
