    In one-day Ford Trophy men's cricket, Canterbury have beaten Northern Districts by eight wickets


    In the women's Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, the Central Hinds have smacked Auckland by 42 runs and and Northern Districts have edged Canterbury by three wickets.
