Retail confidence is at a two-year high - but full recovery is still to come

Retail confidence is at a two-year high - but full recovery is still to come

A Retail NZ report covering the fourth quarter of last year, reveals almost 77-percent of retailers surveyed are confident their business will survive the next 12 months.

This is a big jump on the almost 66-percent confidence rate in the third quarter of last year.

Retail NZ CEO Carolyn Young says this is heading in the right direction - but comes after some tough times for retail.

She says it's going to take a while for retailers to actually recover - and have cash-flow to invest into their businesses.
