A new iron treatment is on the way for people who've experienced serious reactions to treatment in the past

A new iron treatment is on the way for people who've experienced serious reactions to treatment in the past

The new infusion will benefit those whose side affects include low levels of phosphate in their bloodstream.

Pharmac's Therapeutic Group Manager Josh Wiles says funding the new treatment will mean people who experience these bad reactions, will continue to have safe iron infusion options.

It's expected 100 people will benefit from this treatment each year.
