No great movement for National and Labour in the latest political poll

The Post/Freshwater Strategy poll - which has consistently ranked Labour more strongly than others - has the party on 37 percent, and National on 30.

Meanwhile, New Zealand First continues to rise - up two to 11 percent.

Act has slipped to 6 percent, and the Greens are up slightly to 10.

The poll also has Chris Hipkins well ahead in the preferred Prime Minister stakes - on 46 percent, as opposed to Luxon who was on 34.

Monday's 1 News/Verian poll had National on 34 percent and Labour on 32, and Hipkins and Chris Luxon tied on preference.
