Horowhenua Kapiti Coast and Wellington Mostly cloudy. Patchy drizzle tomorrow.
Marlborough, Nelson and Canterbury Mainly fine and high cloud. Patchy low cloud about Canterbury morning and evening.
Buller, Westland and Fiordland Cloud increasing. Scattered rain developing in Fiordland this afternoon, spreading north tonight and tomorrow. Becoming persistent and heavy for a time tomorrow.
Otago and Southland Partly cloudy, with areas of low cloud this evening. Patchy light rain developing tonight, turning to showers with possible thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon.
Chatham Islands Mainly fine except the chance of a shower around midday tomorrow.
