    Monday : Variable 10 knots.
    Sea slight.
    Long period southwest swell 2 metres west of Farewell Spit to Hawera.
    Tuesday : Variable 10 knots.
    Northeast 20 knots developing west of Stephens Island to Cape Egmont in the morning.
    Sea becoming moderate in the west.
    West of Farewell Spit to Hawera: Long period southwest swell 2 metres.
    Northerly swell 1 metre developing.
    Poor visibility in scattered rain.

    Outlook following 3 days:
    Wednesday: Becoming northwest 15 knots everywhere in the morning, rising to westerly 25 knots in the afternoon.
    Sea becoming rough.
    Thursday: Changing southeast 25 knots in the morning, rising to 35 knots in the afternoon.
    Sea becoming very rough.
    Friday: Easterly 35 knots easing to 20 knots in the morning, and dying out in the evening.
    Very rough sea easing.
