The front moves slowly north across the South Island during Saturday and Sunday, weakening away on Monday while the ridge remains elsewhere. On Tuesday, a low in the Tasman Sea extends a front across the upper North Island. Forecast issued at 1627hrs Friday 17-May-2024 Valid to 8 pm Friday for The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head. Friday: Southeast 10 knots.
