Firearms, drugs, and gang patches have been seized in police raids in the small Waikato town of Te Kuiti

Firearms, drugs, and gang patches have been seized in police raids in the small Waikato town of Te Kuiti

Armed Offenders Squads from Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Waikato have assisted local police in searching seven addresses, after a spike in gang related offending.

Four men in their 40's and 50's are facing charges including robbery, assault, and threatening to kill.

They are due to appear in Hamilton District Court today.

Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethley says the operation shows police do not tolerate intimidating behaviour in the community, and will continue to stamp out violent offending.
