Changes are on their way to Buller Health's maternity services

Changes are on their way to Buller Health's maternity services

It comes as Te Whatu Ora West Coast is looking to recruit a permanent midwife - its only locum midwife finished this week.

The health provider has asked Greymouth and Northern-based Lead Maternity Carers to register 15 women who are due between now and May 2023, while they find staff.

Te Whatu Ora West Coast's Midwifery and Maternity Services Norma Campbell says the team is working with pregnant women from around the Buller District to achieve ongoing and consistent access to care.
