    The foul weather that forced the Black Caps' opening T-20 match against India to be cancelled continues to hit cricket around the country


    The women's Hallyburton Johnstone Shield one day matches have been badly affected - the Canterbury Magicians' home game against the Wellington Blaze was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

    The game in New Plymouth was shortened to a virtual T20 due to the weather - the Central Hinds ended up beating the Auckland Hearts by six wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.

    The Hinds easily chased down the Hearts' 86 for 9 off their 20 overs, finishing on 89 for 4 off 17.

    The rain in Whangarei also handed a 47-run DLS victory, to Northern Districts over the Otago Sparks.
