Slight growth in our housing market is expected to improve over the next few months

The latest QV House Price Index shows the average price nationwide jumped 0.9 percent in the quarter to September.

The biggest growing regions in that time were Auckland, Hastings and Wellington.

QV Operations Manager James Wilson says following the election, there'll be less uncertainty which could lead to more price growth.

He says they're expecting steady growth over the summer period.
