Investigations into the death of Dunedin man Gurjit Singh are continuing, with police identifying a person of interest

Investigations into the death of Dunedin man Gurjit Singh are continuing, with police identifying a person of interest

A homicide investigation was launched earlier this week, after the 27-year-old's body was found with stab wounds, lying outside a broken window on Hillary Street on Monday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Kallum Croudis says he believes it's an isolated incident, and the public aren't at risk.

The motive and weapon is yet to be confirmed, but Croudis says the sharp instrument used was inconsistent with the glass from the window, and indicates a fight took place.
