Heavy rain in the capital has brought down slips and prompted warnings not to go swimming

Heavy rain in the capital has brought down slips and prompted warnings not to go swimming

Buses are replacing trains on the Kapiti coast following a slip north of Plimmerton.

They're shuttling passengers between Paekakariki and Waikanae.

An earlier slip on the Johnsonville line has been cleared with trains back in action there.

Meanwhile Wellington Water is asking people not to go swimming this weekend due to wastewater and stormwater overflows.
