North Island residents may miss out an aurora sky tonight

North Island residents may miss out an aurora sky tonight

As the geomagnetic storms continue to surge in space - Transpower has extended their grid emergency notice to end at 8pm tonight.

Professor Craig Rodger from the University of Otago, has been working alongside Transpower and is telling North Island residents to not get their hopes ups.

He says for the lower South Island - the probability is very high.
