    Liam Gallagher gets new dog

Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has got a new sausage dog named Brigitte Bardot, which is part of his new calmer lifestyle.

Liam Gallagher has got a new sausage dog named Brigitte Bardot.

The Beady Eye frontman – who is a huge fan of the short-legged long-bodied breed of canines – insists he's calmed down since his wild Oasis days and now finds contentment with his family, TV and animals.

When asked if he had mellowed with age, the 38-year-old star replied: "Yeah, without a doubt. People live in the past — I’m 20 years older than that person they talk about. I’ve still got bits of that guy, but I’ve grown up as well.

"I’m into that 'Rastamouse' show. But I don’t watch it too much because my kids are a bit too old for it now. The usual, man. I’ve been to watch the new 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' movie. I’m into my little sausage dogs — I’ve got a new chocolate-dappled one called Brigitte Bardot. It’s mega."

Earlier this year, Liam – who has three children, daughter Molly, 13, with Lisa Moorish, and sons Lennon, 11, with his ex-wife Patsy Kensit, and nine-year-old Gene with his current spouse Nicole Appleton – said he was planning to adopt 900 sausage dogs to save the breed from dying out.

He said: "Extinction of sausage dogs? I will prevent that! When I'm back in England I am gonna buy 900 of them. I am gonna prevent them from downfall."

Brigitte Bardot joins Liam and Nicole's other doggy pal, Ruby.
