    Ewan McGregor’s tiring Polanski

Ewan McGregor admits Roman Polanski “asks for a lot” on the set of his movies.

Ewan McGregor finds Roman Polanski tiring.

The Scottish actor, who stars in Polanski’s latest movie ‘Ghostwriter’ – about a biographer working on the memoirs of a former British Prime Minister - admits the director doesn’t back down from what he wants.

He said: “He asks for a lot. He knows exactly what he does there. And just because he himself was an actor he is not soft. The opposite: Because he knows how it works he asks for more.

“He is a director with all his heart and soul. It is his movie. We just play tiny roles in it. He has everything in his hands.”

Ewan also admitted he feels sorry for Polanski’s children, over his detention in Switzerland due to a US arrest warrant over the 1977 conviction for unlawful sex with an underage girl.

He told stren.de: “I don’t want to say anything about it. It doesn’t affect my work with Polanski. I was shocked hearing about his arrest because I like him and I don’t to imagine him sitting in jail. And I am sorry for his children.”

‘Ghostwriter’ also stars ‘Sex and the City’ actress Kim Cattrall and former James Bond Pierce Brosnan.
