    Animated movies fan Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman thinks animated movies are "superior" to live-action films.

The Australian actor - who voices the Easter Bunny in 'Rise of the Guardians' and has previously worked on 'Flushed Away' and Happy Feet' - admires the work that goes into cartoons and even though they can be a lot of work, he enjoys the process.

Hugh - who has children Oscar, 12, and Ava, seven, with wife Deborra - said: "I think animated movies in general are fantastic. I end up watching them a lot with my kids.

"Structurally many of them are superior to live-action movies. The process means they can rework things.

"On a film, to reshoot something is expensive, difficult and somehow sends a signal that there's a problem. In animated movies, effectively you have 15 reshoots of the entire movie.

"When I go in to do voiceover work - I don't know how many sessions, probably 10 - I end up doing the same scenes slightly changed, slightly edited. It's a great process."

'Rise of the Guardians' sees Easter Bunny, Santa (Alec Baldwin), Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher) and Jack Frost (Chris Pine) do battle against the Bogeyman (Jude Law) and Hugh says the characters are like Marvel's Avengers.

He added to Total Film magazine: "They're the animated Avengers. Maybe even bigger. I mean superheroes, they're iconic, but these are archtypes. You might love Wolverine but at some point you, me and everyone else has believed in these characters. I liked that idea."
