Maggie Gyllenhaal is set to sing live at a charity event next month.
The 35-year-old actress - who is married to actor Peter Sarsgaard and has two daughters, Ramona, six, and 11-month-old Gloria - will perform a selection of songs from the new musical 'Fun Home' at the Sundance Institute Theatre Program Benefit in New York City on April 8.

The musical, which is written by Lisa Kron and Jeanine Tesori, will also feature performances from Judy Kuhnand David Hyde Pierce, 'Lincoln' star Sally Field and actress Cherry Jones, according to backstage.com.
Maggie, who has previously spoken of her love of live singing, recently signed on to appear in the new musical comedy 'Frank', which is set in Dublin and New Mexico.
The 'Hysteria' actress has been cast as the female lead in Lenny Abrahamson's film about an aspiring musician - played by Domhnall Gleeson - who joins a rock band led by eccentric frontman Frank (Michael Fassbender) only to discover things aren't quite what they seem.
The actress also sang in the movie 'Happy Endings' in 2005, in which she played a singer in a bar band, and revealed at the time that she refused to pre-record her songs.
She said: "It's easier to be awake and alive and really in the moment singing. It was like a gift handed to me because you have to breathe, you have to respond to the sounds coming out of your mouth."
