    David Duchovny’s triathlon training

‘The X Files’ actor David Duchovny is training for a triathlon after missing this year’s event while he was treated for sex addiction.

David Duchovny is training for a triathlon.

‘The X Files’ star – who is a regular competitor in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon - has been getting into shape at renowned fitness expert Robert Pennino's indoor triathlon training class in New York.

The actor missed out on this year’s event because he was being treated for sex addiction at a rehabilitation clinic.

Olympic swimming champion Dara Torres was also seen training alongside the star.

David – who announced his split from his wife of 11 years Tea Leoni in October – has previously vowed to better actor Tate Donovan, who won the 2005 competition in the celebrity division.

He said: “I have a vendetta against him now because he finished so far ahead of me that he was actually at the finish line with a glass of champagne and getting massaged, cheering me on as I passed.

“This is war now! If you're going to finish and shower and comb your hair and then watch me finish that's not right.”
