    Leonardo DiCaprio highest-grossing actor of 2010

    Leonardo DiCaprio is the most bankable actor of 2010, with his two movies ‘Inception’ and ‘Shutter Island’ grossing over $1 billion worldwide.


    Leonardo DiCaprio is 2010’s highest-grossing actor.

    The 36-year-old actor – who had movies ‘Shutter Island’ and ‘Inception’ out in cinemas this year – saw his two projects gross over $1 billion at cinemas worldwide, with Forbes magazine claiming it puts the star at the top of list.

    The surprise entry at second is newcomer Mia Wasikowska, who took the leading role of Alice in Tim Burton’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ – which earnt over $1 billion worldwide – and ‘The Kids are All Right’ with Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo, which has so far grossed $29 million on just a $4 million budget.

    Mia’s ‘Alice’ co-star Johnny Depp came in third thanks to his starring in the film and critically-panned ‘The Tourist’ with Angelina Jolie.

    Daniel Radcliffe is the first non-American in the list, with the Brit coming in fifth thanks to his earnings from the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1’.

    Robert Pattinson, Sam Worthington and Jackie Chan are among the other international actors making the list, with London-based Robert edging out girlfriend Kristen Stewart thanks to the success of his film ‘Remember Me’ in addition to both their work on ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’.
