Matthew Perry selling home for 13.5m

Matthew Perry is selling his beachfront Malibu home for $13.5 million – more than double what he paid for it in 2005.

Matthew Perry is selling his home for $13.5 million.

The former 'Friends' star has put the stunning property in Malibu, California, on the market for over twice the $6.55 million he paid for it in 2005.

The 5,500 square foot beachfront home – known as Pier House - sits on 2.32 acres and has four bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The master suite features his-and-her baths, a sitting area, fireplace and an ocean-view window seat, and although the property is located right on the beach, it still comes with its own swimming pool.

Earlier this year, Matthew – who also has two other properties in the Los Angeles area – revealed he is to enter to deal with his ongoing "sobriety" issues.

The 42-year-old star - who has previously dealt with substance abuse issues by checking into an in-patient facility in 1997 and 2001 – insisted he had not suffered a relapse, but intended to "go away" for some time to focus on himself.

He said in a statement: "I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery. Please enjoy making fun of me on the world wide web."
