    Ashley Tisdale splits from boyfriend

Ashley Tisdale has split from her boyfriend, music video director Scott Speer, after two years of dating.

Ashley Tisdale has split from her boyfriend.

The 'High School Musical' star and music video director Scott Speer recently called time on their two year relationship after it "ran its course".

A source told UsMagazine.com: "They had been on and off for a while. They tried to work it out but realised their relationship ran its course."

Ashley, 26, has been getting over the break-up by listening to music by Nicole Scherzinger. She took to her twitter page to write "What goes around comes back around," and added a picture of herself on with the caption "Rocking out to don't hold your breath by Nicole Sherzinger" (sic).

Ashley and Scott – who has directed music promos for Paris Hilton, Jordin Sparks, David Archuleta, Blake Shelton and his former girlfriend – started dating in 2009 after she split from V Factory band member Jared Murillo.

The 'Hellcats' star has previously revealed she is more interested in a man's personality that his looks.

She said: "In high school, it was all about popularity, being with the boyfriend and all the girls thinking he's cute.

"I am more into a guy's personality. I like someone I can have fun with and who can be more laid-back than I am, because it calms me down."
