Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner's love tweets

Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have taken to twitter to show their love for each other amid reports they had recently split.

Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner have tweeted their love for one another.

Although it was recently claimed singer and the reality TV star - who had been dating for almost two years - had decided to call time on their relationship, they insist they are still as committed as ever.

Brody wrote: "It really upsets me to read all the FALSE!! stories. Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her (sic)."

    Avril replied: "luv u 2!!! @BrodyJenner (sic)."

The 'Complicated' singer - who was previously married to Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley - and the former 'Hills' star proved their dedication to one another a few months after they started dating by having matching tattoos.

Avril - who has a 'Brody' inking next to her right breast, while Brody's 'Avril' tattoo is on his inner arm - recently said she would like to marry again and have children.

The 27-year-old star said: "It's all about love and I make that my number one priority. One day I would hope to have kids and do that whole thing. Right now I'm very focused on my career, my album, my tour and naturally when that happens for me next, yeah I'll go for it."
