One Direction think a collaboration with Eminem would be "hilarious."

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' boy band are currently working on their second record and singer Niall Horan has been thinking of unusual people they could work with on it.

He told website DigitalSpy.co.uk: "It would be weird if we did something with Eminem. You have to think outside the box! Can you imagine One Direction and Eminem? That would be hilarious."

While working with a boy band is unlikely for the bad boy 'Stan' rapper, he could possibly be persuaded by his daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers, who is seemingly a fan, after a video was posted online which appears to show her and a friend singing along to the band's song 'One Thing'.

Niall added that the group - which also includes Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson - will all be putting in their own ideas for tracks to go on the album.

He said: "We're writing as much as we can for this one. There's one song in particular that we're really happy with and we're recording it very soon. "We've got a bit of time to get the album done so we're putting as much into it as possible. We're trying to keep the same sort of sound as before but create even better songs than the last one. There's always pressure on the second album - this one has to be the big one."

One Direction's debut record, 'Up All Night', was a huge hit, making the number one spot in the UK, US and Australia.
